Atletico Madrid have confirmed the permanent signing of Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona.
Griezmann has penned a contract with the capital city club until the summer of 2026.
The forward was already on loan at Atletico, after moving on a temporary deal to the Wanda Metropolitano in summer 2021. His loan would have expired at the end of the current season.

Griezmann has been limited in the length of his appearances for Atletico this season due to a clause in the initial loan deal that would make it permanent for €40million if a certain number of minutes were played in a certain number of games. But he has featured in every match this campaign, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
His permanent return to Atletico follows a three-year association with Barcelona. He joined them in 2019 after five years at Atletico, in which he won the Europa League, the Super Cup and the Spanish Super cup.
He won the Copa del Rey with Barcelona in 2021 and scored 35 goals in 102 games.
